Pie Baking Contest
The Hilton Head Hospitality Association held their annual Wine and Food Fest on March 13th at Honey Horn Plantation. This event included a Pie Baking Contest staffed by Hero board members. Local Hilton Head Islanders baked and entered pies in the contest which after judging were sold per slice to a eager and appreciative crowd of festival goers.

Pie Judges which included Gregg Russell, Andy Patrick, Monty Jett, Troy Ahyo, Steve Riley, Ed McCullough, Bonnie Lowery, and Justin Paprocki, tasted and scored the delicious entered pies.

The Winners were:
1st place -Jane Jude for her Toffee Apple Pie
2nd place -Britney Allton-Southern Lady Pecan Pie
3rd place-Mimi Bergman-Black Bottom Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mousse Pie.

A thank you to the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, Giuseppi's Pizza in Sea Pines, Skull Creek Boathouse and Picture this Gallery for the donation of prizes for our winners. Heroes would also like to extend a thank you to the Hilton Head Island Hospitality Association for the donation of the tent for the day and for including us in this great event!
