If you would like to contribute to Heroes, one of our largest donation drives evolves around the Birdies for Charity, a program operated by the Heritage Classic Foundation.

The Heritage Classic Foundation allows local charities to collect pledges for the number of birdies (one under par) which might be scored in the Verizon Golf Tournament held each spring on Hilton Head Island. After the golf tournament is over, the local Rotary Club-Sunset chapter then calculates your pledge amount with the number of birdies that were scored in four days of the tournament and sends you a bill stating the amount you owe.

So! How much does it cost?

First...You may donate any amount you choose in a lump sum.

Second...If you chose to pay by the "Birdie" you pay for each birdie scored in the tournament, Thursday through Sunday. Last year there were 1,321 birdies. If you had pledged just THREE CENTS that would amount to only $39.63. Of course FIVE CENTS would have cost you only $66.05. You can do the math.

Please take a minute to fill out the pledge form and return it to the Rotary Club's address provided on the form. Every donation is tax deductible and will be a tremendous asset to our upcoming Hilton Head Heroes Season. We collect pledges on a year-round basis and hold them until the tournament is played, so pledge NOW!!
